7 Year Anniversary

Ok so today is 'the race that stops a nation' aka the Melbourne Cup but more importantly it is the 7 year anniversary of the first date with my Hubby. Also ironically enough it's Kim Kardashian divorce time - just goes to show money and fame can't get you everything!

Today is important because it's also the last exam Hubby ever has to take at uni! He still has a thesis presentation to give on the 8th but it'll really feel like he's finally moving forward.

Whilst he's doing the exam and then heading into work to sort out his start date, I'm going to be watching the Cup and helping Mum cook a birthday dinner for her fiance for tomorrow night. After that hopefully we can drag Mum out of the kitchen to do a mini pregnancy photoshoot with us. I don't have lots of couple shots with Hubby and that's something I want to change so why not start a new tradition today :)

I hope everyone else has a wonderful 1st of November and if you have a bet on that you pick a winner.

Out for the count

Killer migraines are no fun! Especially when they start Sunday and only disappear Thursday late afternoon :( Which is why my blogging attempt at 30 days was so horrendous!

I will resume it all starting November 1st AKA my 6 year dating anniversary with Hubby. We're going away for the weekend and I can't wait! I totally need to recharge my batteries right now, the migraine knocked me out and even though I've been sleeping lots I still feel exhausted!

We're going to celebrate with a bottle of Verve Cliquot (an engagement present) and the top tier of our wedding cake...we are cheating a bit but I want to eat it whilst it's still semi-yummy! And besides, we still have the candy bow to save for our anniversary which is good.

Anniversary

We'd been dating for a long time before we got hitched and today is our 5 year and 9 month anniversary :)

We don't have a lot of plans, I woke up insanely early for a Sunday and want to get our to our local markets to score some good fruit and veggies. That will be followed by more house cleaning because I'm tired of living in so much clutter (it's pretty much my fault) although the kitchen is gross and I think I'll let the Hubby loose on that.

Tonight I have dinner with my uni girlfriends which will be fantastic. So much has changed in the 1.5 years since we left uni! We're going to do a semi-housewarming for the last one of us who moved out of home. So unfortunately the Hubby will need to eat left over chicken curry but it's yummy so no problems there!

On Wednesday for our 1 month anniversary we are shunning the family dinner (we're both a bit over his family at the moment seems like we always have to put in the effort and are severely under appreciated or even forgotten about) and going out somewhere cheap and cheerful. Possibly Italian and maybe a movie but because it's a work night I always like getting to bed no later than 10pm so maybe not.

I'm trying to be a lot more positive and happy about things and whenever I think something negative I just push it away. It isn't always easy, especially when drama is going on but I'm tired of being such a downer!
