Weekend Update

So Project Clean is still in it's early stages (even though we spent all day yesterday on it), who knew sorting out the bedroom (& Hubby sorting out the office) would take so long. We still haven't dusted or anything and then we've got the following rooms to tackle: spare room, upstairs toilet, upstairs bathroom, downstairs bathroom, lounge room, kitchen (eeekkk!), front hall area, balcony and outside courtyard. I'm so grateful for the long weekend!

We're still making sure we have fun though and last night saw us at the Outdoor cinema to watch Morning Glory. It wasn't anything amazing but I laughed quite a lot so I was happy. However, the main thing I kept thinking about was 'could I pull of Rachel McAdam's hair?'. I've finally grown out my fringe (aka bangs) and now I want to go and get another one, the mind is a strange thing. I've also decided that I'm going to go light brown, I do like the colour I am now but I'm a brunette and I don't think I'm designed to go blonde.

We also went out for breakfast yesterday and I had my first ever decaf flat white and it was sooooo yummy! Trying to avoid the evil C with all this babymaking so I'm glad I enjoyed that, plus it now means (well once I've bought the decaf beans!) I can enjoy coffee after 5pm! Yay! If anyone in Perth is interested we went to Toscanini's in Bicton (highly recommend).

Soon we're off to the Farmer's Market and I plan on stocking up on peaches and whatever other goodies they have there. We might go and view the Sculpture by the Sea later today but I think I need to stay in cleaning mode to really get things done.

So wish us luck! I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend.

Heat Wave

It's been hot, hot, hot here in WA. I haven't really been motivated to do much which sucks but this weekend I'm getting out there. I guess starting tonight! We're heading out for belated birthday dinner with my Dad. I'm looking forward to seeing the look on his face when his cake comes out, it's going to be awesome. I'll be sure to post a photo and I'll try and get some of the food as well because it always looks and tastes amazing.

Saturday night we're going to the Outdoor Cinema with a whole bunch of people to watch Morning Glory, fingers crossed it's good. Sunday is dedicated to farmer's market, swap meet and sculpture by the sea (unless it's too hot). Then Monday is a public holiday, I've just started reading this:
Poor Hubby, I don't think he knows what he's in for on Sunday!

TGIF

http://icanhascheezburger.com/

I remember how proud I was when I finally figured out what that acronym meant! It's funny as you grow-up and or go through different life stages that different acronyms pop up. I never knew what DH meant until I started reading wedding blogs...it still makes me want to throw up every time I think about it I'd prefer AH (awesome husband) darling just sounds too old school English for my tastes. But to each their own of course and if you're reading this and use DH (Darling Husband) please don't hold my views against me! Then there was TTC as I started up on the baby blogs that one didn't take me too long to figure out though!

My all time favourite though has to be my Uncle's misunderstanding (the one who read a poem at our wedding). He was always signing of emails to my Mum saying LOL Ken. I don't know if Mum ever told him it doesn't mean lots of love. I definitely prefer his version of lol though, much sweeter (see I can like corny mushy stuff after all).

Tonight we went to the outdoor cinema (again it's becoming almost a ritual each weekend!) and watched the Social Network. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought JT was great, he's come so far since his N*SYNC days (and no I wasn't a fan although I must ashamedly admit I love him solo and bought VIP tickets to one of his concerts!). It was an interesting perspective and I would love to know how much was true and how much was fabricated. I think I shall have to read that book it was based on. It also left me to wonder how many people tried to add that Albright chick as a friend. It also made me miss livejournal just a little bit I used to have so many of them! From Buffy fanfic ones (yes I was a complete and total nerd!) to a weird short story erotica group with my male best friend - we still get people requesting to become members and it wasn't even dirty more taking the piss! It's strange how everything evolves! I highly suggest everyone goes back and reads over their old livejournals (if you had one) they're full of funny crap. Such as 20 year old me saying HELL NO to being pregnant at 25 HA-HA-HA

Oh the past how I have missed you...

Pony Rides

Today's morning was spent at a 2 year-old's birthday party complete with a pony, lamb and 13+ kids of varying ages. It was good fun excluding the fact that we were the only non-parents (it was a party for our page boy who refused to walk down the aisle). But it was good fun seeing my two favourite "nephews", I can't believe how old they are both getting.

Then we went and nerd-ed it up at the in-laws because when ever Hubby is around they always need him to fix something with their gazillion computers, i-pads/phones etc... But it was fun showing them our wedding photos and just hanging out having a chat. I much prefer that to the family dinners but by the sounds of things that is not going to go away anytime soon :(

Tonight we're hopefully off to watch Inception. I keep pulling out but I think I need to force myself to go because it looks like the screening times are dropping. From people's recommendations it's definitely not a movie I want to miss. So wish me luck getting my sleepy butt to the cinema!
